Using Facebook to reach key influencers

When our Project Officer in Mongu sent in a picture of Kit Yamoyo on the shelves in the Shoprite store there, I thought I’d post it on Facebook and promote the post to Facebook users in Zambia. We have been astounded by the response and have now set up a page dedicated specifically to Kit Yamoyo – please like it here. You can also follow Kit Yamoyo on Twitter!

Based on this experience we think Facebook is going to be a valuable channel to reach key influencers.

  1. Great to see! I think I will update and repost the old article on social media and charities where I featured ColaLife.

    We did some work on the impact of social media in the middle east revolutions from 2010-12. Although the romantic notion in the west was that social media played a major part – it was more physical word of mouth and SMS that drove the messaging.
