ColaLife – the problem, the solution, the impact, the future – 4 minute Ashoka video

In 2015 I (Simon Berry) was elected to the Ashoka Fellowship. There are now 39 UK Fellows and some 3,500 Fellows worldwide.

Ashoka builds and cultivates a community of change leaders. Together, they collaborate to transform institutions and cultures worldwide. Ashoka Fellows support changemaking for the good of society.

As part of the fellowship I am receiving a stipend of £20,000 spread over 3 years. I am donating all of this to ColaLife. This stipend is generously covered by Boehringer Ingelheim under their Making More Health programme. As part of this programme Boehringer Ingelheim produce a 4 minute video of each of the fellows they support. Boehringer Ingelheim also run the Making More Health Awards which ColaLife won in 2011.

Although this video is all focussed on me (and ColaLife is not all about me), it does give quite a good summary of our work in just 4 minutes covering the problem, the solution, the impact and the future. It was filmed in Nov-17 in Lusaka and Kafue in Zambia by Denis Benoit of Shamengo. I wish to thank all those who worked to make the production of this video possible and in particular, Jane and my colleagues in Zambia. Please share.
