Kit Yamoyo accessioned into the permanent collection of the V&A

Victoria and Albert Museum

We are very proud to announce that all three formats of Kit Yamoyo have been accessioned into the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Victoria and Albert Museum (the V&A) is the world’s leading museum of art and design, housing a permanent collection of over 2.3 million objects that span over 5,000 years of human creativity.

The three formats have been classified as follows but have only been given ‘holding photos’ at the moment. They will be photographed professionally in due course:

  • The original Kit Yamoyo ‘AidPod’ that fits in a Coca-Cola crate and was tested in the trial in Zambia (2012-2013) – CD.101-2016
  • The first scale-up version of Kit Yamoyo ‘the flexi-pack’ – CD.156-2016
  • The Kit Yamoyo ‘screw-top’ – CD.155-2016

Design excellence is the foundation of ColaLife’s model to transform access to diarrhoea treatment and so it is good to have the design aspects of our work recognised in this way once again.
